1:1 videos have three sides - the marketing side, the sales side, and the unscalable side. They are the equivalent of having a face-to-face conversation but in the digital world, and they can be terrible if used the wrong way. When you think of customizing a 1:1 video, think of bedazzling it. Don't bedazzle it how others do, but with what you're comfortable with. It has to be the salt and pepper or condiments (as George says), otherwise it can be overwhelming to the person watching. The bedazzle shouldn't get in the way of the value that you're adding with the words that come out of your mouth. 

The other important part of creating a 1:1 video is that you play yourself, that you're authentic, and that you communicate the way you do in real life. Just be you! George explains that everyone should find 3-4 words that you want to emit or to be part of your "compass" and live up to them. For him it's happy, helpful, humble, and human. You also need to be a transition specialist. What this means is that you're flexible, outrageously courageous, and not afraid to fail. It all comes down to one word: care. Care so much about the person on the other side of the lens that you're willing to do anything, and don't care about what they think or if they watch another video because at the end of the day there is purpose behind the videos you are creating and these videos are providing value to someone.
