Time flies when you're having fun. It's been a fun (and crazy) year here at the blog. We've seen steady increases in our audience, lots of impact and we made the HUGE decision to move the home of the blog and rename it this year.
It's hard to believe that I've been blogging for almost 9 years now. I still remember a conversation I had with my brother about two months into my blogging career, when he told me that the blog was good, but it would be interesting to see if I could still be writing new material one year in.
As I sat down this week to look at the analytics to figure out what the most read posts of 2013 were, I found something that really struck me. On this year's list:
- 2 posts are form 2013
- 2 posts are from 2012
- 1 post is from 2011
- 1 post is from 2009
- 1 post is from 2006
Think about that for a moment. A blog post that I wrote 8 years ago is still one of the top 7 posts in terms of driving taffic. If that doesn't prove the value of building a marketing asset (also a post in the top 7 written in 2009), I don't know what is.
Without further adieu, here are the 7 most popular posts from 2013:
- Simon Sinek Was Wrong
- Challenge Your Customer
- The Five Attributes Critical to Sales Success
- A Must Have Tool For Anyone In Sales
- Build Marketing Assets, Don't Spend Resources
- Tell It To Me Like I'm A Six-Year-Old
- Sales Is Hard Work
